Aftershokz Trekz Titanium Review
Aftershokz Trekz Titanium is one of the best outdoor sports headphones due to its bone conduction technology. These pair of headphones is probably the best when it comes to listening music while cycling or running as you can hear the sound around you while you are into your workout session.
Probably one of the best wireless headphones for cycling, the Aftershokz Trek Titanium is one of the best sports Bluetooth headphones. If you are planning on getting these then do read the complete review to make a better purchasing decision
Design and Build Quality
The headphones have a very rigid band that goes on the back of your head and the band is coated with rubber which makes it soft and comfortable. Although the headphones are comfortable, I guess they could make the band a bit more soft which would give a better comfort level.
You can adjust the bad according to the size of your head since I have a really small face, I needed to adjust it quite a bit in order to get the perfect bone conduction. The headphones are built really strong and rigid. I can say that they are little too strong for my liking but at the end of the day, it does the job.
The headphones are best known for the bone conduction technology and to be honest, I did find the working of the headphones really unique. Without having any in-ear earbuds, the headphones send out the sound vibrations that conduct from your cheekbones enabling you to hear the music as if it was being played around you.
The way in which these headphones work is pretty amazing and if you are looking for something that would give you lesser noise isolation especially when you are cycling or running then these headphones are pretty perfect for the task.
The sound quality is great and if you close your ears, even then you can hear the sound of music which means it does use the bone conduction technology and it is not just sound coming from speakers that have been placed near your ears. Although these headphones are perfect for cycling or running, if you plan on using them in a quiet room then everyone would be able to hear the music.
So, it is more like these headphones are more suitable to be used outdoors. You can take up calls on these as these have noise canceling microphones which help you hear sounds clearly.
The headphones were pretty comfortable when I used them, however, it did feel a little annoying after a while since the entire design is a little different from the usual in-ear headphones that I’m used to. The headphones otherwise are amazing but I personally would not wear them for more than an hour and a half.
The headphone band can be adjusted in the case you want them to fit you perfectly, I had to meddle a bit before I could get it to my size and once you are done with that this headphone is going to work like a charm. The bone conduction technology comes handy when you are outdoors, cycling or running.
The headphones have an IPX5 rating which means that they are sweatproof and waterproof. These headphones can handle a few splashes of water and the way they are made, I think they would last you pretty long and as they come with a dust bag, you can always store these headphones inside them when not in use.
The headphones can handle anything from seat intensive workout to a workout in the rains. These headphones would work perfectly fine in any weather condition. If you want to go cycling in the rains then probably this could be one of the best headphone options that you have.
The battery life on these headphones lasts for about 6 hours. Although I do like headphones with an amazing battery life, the battery life on this headphone is pretty average. It is as good as the Bose Soundsport Pulse headphones and these headphones even come with an HRM.
Overall the battery life is not great but it could definitely be better as the Aftershokz Trekz headphones are popular and improvement on this feature would make them just as good as the top sports Bluetooth headphones we have. Charging these headphones from a completely no charge to full charge will take around one hour or even more.
The headphones are pretty amazing and in the case you are searching for a sports Bluetooth headphones for cycling or running outdoors then this is a perfect choice. The bone conduction technology works pretty well with these headphones and they come with a pretty average battery life.
The headphones along with these features would help you take phone calls without any noise disturbances, however, you might want to consider the fact that if you use them indoors people can easily hear the music you are playing. So, this is more like something you would use in a crowded place and not something that is suitable for a quiet office room.
As a sports Bluetooth headphone it has some of the best features and if you are looking for a Bluetooth headphone to be your companion at workout sessions then do check out the Afershokz Titanium Trekz on Amazon.
