I’m a swimmer and I was looking around for some Bluetooth headphones to help me out during my swimming sessions when I came across this article.

I pose a question regarding the span of the headphones being waterproof, do they remain waterproof forever or does it wear off?

I need new headphones for 2018, so I’ll definitely come back to grab headphones! I can’t wait to see what else you recommend, thank you for sharing these reviews!

They do wear off with time, I do not know the exact reason as to why that happens but I’m pretty sure they do. If anyone reading these comments knows the exact reason then do share it with us!

As someone who likes to swim and listen to music, I have always had to struggle without my tunes in the water. The Leophile Eel looks like a great option for me. They are durable and comfortable. For someone who beats up his products, I see this as a very beneficial.

I do have a question though. If they break for whatever reason, what is the warranty? Thank you in advance and I hope you have a great day!

Haha no way, bluetooth headphones exist with which you can actually go swimming?! Technology never fails to amaze me.

I have a question though. I see you mentioned that the Alpatronix HX250 has 8GB storage to store songs in case you don’t want to connect it to your Bluetooth device. What about the others, they don’t have that?

If that’s the case: how good would the reception be under water to your bluetooth device? For example, my phone is not water proof so I definitely wouldn’t take that with me swimming. I can imagine the reception will be very poor when I’m in the water..

No, the others are just plain Bluetooth headphones without that feature. You can leave your phone near the pool, that would be fine. I don’t think the reception is that bad, all you need to do is be careful.

    Hello friend,

I have been looking for such type of waterproof headphone, so I’m very glad I found your website today. I really like your education on which type is the best, this will really help me to make the best selection ever.

You talked about the IXP rating and said that the best quality ones are the one’s with IPX 8.

And then upon your recommendation, if I should make my final choice then I will go in for the LEOPHILE headphones, since you said they have a very high quality and durable and resistance to any amount of water pressure and also comfortable when swimming.

I think that will be my choice for now. I will be checking it out later on and get one for myself

Thanks a lot for educating me on which ones are the best.

Thanks for an unbiased review of Bluetooth waterproof headphones. Among all LYOPHILE EEL seems to be the best product. I have a doubt. How far can the Bluetooth work when we are under water? I mean the distance from the mobile phone or tab from our location.
    Thanks for your review.

The network was pretty good when the phone was near the pool, since I had to change songs or see their sequence, so I always prefer keeping the phone by the side but I think you can easily keep it on a counter near the pool.

If you leave the phone in the locker then you might see some disturbances in the network.

    This is really great!

I actually didn’t realize that these even existed until I read your article. I am currently using generic earbuds, that are absolutely horrible, and I’ve been wanting to find some decent headphones with much better sound. Especially ones that aren’t massive and cumbersome.

I don’t do a lot of swimming, but my wife loves it as a part of her exercise routine… I’ll have to consider these.

Hey my daughters going to be starting swimming soon and she is very excited. I was wondering if bluetooth headphones would be good for a beginner?

Do you think they will be a distraction or not?

Also I like the SONY NWZWS613BLK. I think the remote control feature is really cool. I like to be able to control my volume and switch tracks quickly and the remote is perfect for that.

As a beginner she might want to use it less, although she could use it once she has learnt swimming. If you want to listen to instructions then you might want to avoid them in the beginning but in the end it is her choice.
