Bose SoundSport Wireless Headphones
The Bose SoundSport Bluetooth Headphones are similar to the Bose SoundSport Pulse ones but without the HRM. In this review, you are going to see how these headphones are amazing when it comes to the sound quality and why we personally love this funky green and gray colored headphones. So without wasting any more time, let’s get into the detailed review:
Design and Build Quality
The headphones are light in weight which makes them easy to wear and carry out any intensive workouts. You have two color combinations available on Amazon, one being the black one and another one which is my personal favorite is the citron green.
The headphones have a clip which can be used to secure the cable. You can adjust the length of the cable according to your comfortability factor. The inline remote can be used to adjust the volume and even let you take voice calls whenever needed. The headphones sport a very premium look and that makes them worth the purchase.
These headphones look great and sport a premium look which is not something unusual for Bose when it comes to their Bluetooth headphone range. The sleek design is different and looks great so if you a person who would go for the looks then these headphones are the way to go.
These headphones have a pretty good sound quality. Though they might be a little different from the Jaybird X2, I think these headphones have a relatively softer bass. The clarity is amazing and it is not something that you would be complaining about but the noise cancellation is lower than that of the Jaybird X2.
Then there is always this option of tweaking the sound quality with the help of an app. The connectivity on these headphones is pretty amazing and you found rarely feel any kind of major distortion or breaking of the sound coming from the headphones.
With lower noise cancellation you can always use them for outdoor workout sessions. It has a fairly good sound quality and it may fall short in comparison with the Jaybird headphones but it is not a deal breaker because not everyone likes loud music and many opt for a mild audio.
These headphones can be a little bigger for some people’s ears. SO, if you really want something that has smaller earbuds then you must look out for the Jaybird headphones. However, many of us do not care about the size due to the amazing sound quality and if that is the most sought-after feature in your case, then these headphones are the best.
The headphones come in two sizes of ear fins so that they ensure a perfect fit and do not fall out while you are exercising. These headphones are pretty comfortable and apart from the relatively large sized earbuds they are good to go.
Personally, I would not go for them since I like the smaller earbuds that are perfect in size because when I go out for a run if the headphones are heavy they tend to fall and that is plain annoying. I think the size totally depends on the person as well so do choose according to what you think would fit your ear size better.
These headphones are sweat and water resistant which makes them a perfect choice for practicing your routine in any weather. The headphones are pretty sturdy with the silicone tips being hydrophobic which eases its use in water and humid situations.
The headphones are pretty amazing when it comes to being durable and since they come with a pouch you can keep it safe from just being tossed around in a gym bag. These headphones can last you really long especially if you take care of them.
Try keeping your headphones in a dust bag or in this case you can store it in the pouch that comes along with the headphones. It is important that you take care of your headphones and maintain minimum maintenance so that they would retain their brand new quality for a longer period of time.
These headphones can last for around 6 hours which is not bad and it is definitely better than the Pulse edition of these headphones which lasted for about 5 hours. The headphones charge pretty quickly which an added advantage to these headphones.
These headphones come with a USB charger which can be used to charge the headphones. The charging on these headphones can last pretty long. The headphones have an above average battery life. The headphones are amazing but the battery life is pretty average.
Although Bose is a pretty good company, you do expect them to at least give you a good battery life. I think having a 6-hour battery life is pretty average and most of the Bluetooth sports headphones provide the same range of battery life for the much lower price.
The Bose SoundSport is a pretty good headphone but for the price of $149, you can clearly find better headphones that would offer you the same features for a much lower price. I would recommend the product but the battery life is really sad for the given MSRP. This product lacks an overall feature/price balance which is better with other Bluetooth sports headphones.
If you are a loyal Bose customer then you can go ahead with these headphones since there are no serious setbacks but if you want a better deal then you should check out the JLAB Audio Epic 2, Plantronics BackBeat or the Jaybird X2 because they offer a better value for money deals than the Bose SoundSport.
