The Jabra sports pulse is another biometric headphones that contribute in not just giving a good audio quality but also helps in monitoring the pulse and oxygen consumption rate during the workout. It is nearly priced as the Bose SoundSport Pulse but is it better than the latter? Let’s find out.
Design and Built Quality
The Jabra Sports Pulse headphones have a nice sleek design which gives away a premium feel. These headphones have a built-in heart rate monitor which when synced with an app can give you live heart rate and oxygen consumption readings.
The inline remote is easy to operate and you can control the volume and skip a song or take calls using it. These headphones work with various fitness app and that enhances its compatibility. Speaking of compatibility, it goes well with both Android and iPhones.
So if you are a fitness freak and really want to get your stats real-time, you should opt for these sports Bluetooth headphones. Although, I’m not a fan of the heart rate monitor and stuff but I have definitely know that there are a few people who love to keep track of their health. So this headphone is perfect for such people since you could sync the heart rate monitor with an app on your phone to record your heart rate while you are exercising.
The audio quality on these headphones is amazing. The audio has a nice detail and clarity. It can even be tweaked with the Dolby app which would help you get enough oomph in order to stay motivated for your workout. There is no sound distortion at loud volumes.
There is a nice noise isolation level provided in these headphones. When tested there was minimal noise leakage. The connectivity on these headphones is good, however, you may want to adjust the left earpiece correctly in order to generate a proper reading.
These headphones do not compromise on the sound quality and can be termed as one of the best heart rate monitoring headphones that we have in the market. Although you do need to be a little careful while adjusting the left earpiece since that is where all the heart rate reading is picked up.
These headphones are pretty comfortable and they come with three different sizes of ear fins which help you decide the right size. It also includes different sizes of ear tips so that there is no compromise on the comfortability factor and the users have the perfect fit.
You may need to loosen the fit in order to reduce the noise isolation and have some external noise coming in, however, that doesn’t mean that you loosen it to an extent that the headphones fall off on their own. The earbuds are small in size, unlike the Bose SoundSport which had unexceptionally large earbuds.
The headphones are pretty comfortable and can be a little on the heavier side but they still are comfortable and fit perfectly. I usually do not like the huge earbuds which can be noticed from a mile away but although these headphones might look huge but they are not and they have a snug fit.
The headphones are sweat and temperature resistant. It has been drop and dirt tested which means that there are slightly few chances of ruining these headphones because of the dirt or any other factor. These headphones are best suited for workouts even humid environments.
These earbuds come with a carry pouch, so if maintained and taken care of they can last really long. Avoid the usual throwing in the gym bag because these headphones need care and maintenance and by just keeping them in its case you could make it last longer.
If I spent $159 for a Bluetooth headphones then I would surely try to maintain it so that it lasts longer. Minimum maintenance like keeping it in the dust bag when not in use will result in a longer life of your headphones. Try to avoid throwing it in gym bag because they end up getting tangled with different items resulting in loosening of the wire.
The battery life on these headphones can last for around 5 hours which is pretty average and the headphones come with a micro USB charger so one single charge can give you a battery life of 5 hours.
The best way to save battery life is to switch off the headphones when not in use. The HRM included in these headphones have taken a toll on its battery life and it is best if you try and save the battery life whenever the headphones are not in use.
With the HRM built in the headphones, the battery life is okay and reasonable. It is pretty obvious that the battery life on these headphones is going to be pretty less because of the heart rate monitor that would be working along with playing songs. It still has got an average battery life making it a good option as a workout headphone.
Jabra sports headphones are one of the best headphone coupled with a great heart rate monitor. It has a good battery life and has an amazing comfort level. This headphone is pretty good when it comes to the features and with the seasonal offers on Amazon, you could grab these headphones for $106 which is a pretty good deal.
If you get the headphones for that price and find every feature mentioned here in sync with your needs then you should surely go ahead with these headphones since they are the best comfortable Bluetooth headphones that one can find with a heart rate monitor.
