The Jaybird Freedom Sprint is another Jaybird Bluetooth headphones edition which is perfect for workouts and other sports activities. The headphones coming from the Jaybird series are high-quality Bluetooth sports headphones and they never compromise on quality. The only closest competition for the headphones is JLAB Audio Epic 2 and JBL Reflect Mini. Let’s see which one turns out to be better:

Design and Build Quality

The design of the headphones is pretty sleek, especially the fins catch your attention when you look at it for the first time. The headphones are small and have a very nice fit in your ears. The headphones sport a premium look and they look like an expensive set of Bluetooth headsets.

The inline remote which is attached to the cable is pretty small and it can be a little difficult to operate in the beginning because of the tiny remote. You might feel that operating the remote can get a little annoying due to its too size which can be way too small for a few people.

Jaybird is really good with the premium designs for its headphones and apart from the small size, everything seems to be pretty perfect with these headphones as well. Although I must admit that the size can really depend on the persona do I personally find tiny earbuds a much better fit.

Sound Quality

The sound quality like all the other Jaybird headphones is pretty amazing and it totally immerses you in the music making you forget the outside world. In high volumes, you might find no distortion which is a pretty good feature to have. You can always tweak the music quality and bass by using an app.

The total noise isolation might create a problem for the outdoor athletes, however, if you are in the gym or have a particular workout area then there is no issue and you could easily use these headphones and move around. Jaybird has some good sound quality to offer here.

The sound quality is amazing and you would have no major issues with the audio quality on this Jaybird headphones. You just cannot go wrong with Jaybird when it comes to audio quality since they have one of the best Bluetooth sports headphones.

Comfort

These headphones are comfortable but they might tend to come out due to their relatively smaller size compared to the cable. The are sweat proof and weather resistant so you can use them in any kind of situation. However, they are not completely water resistant which implies that you cannot go swimming with them.

It comes with three different tip sizes and you can use one among them which one suits you the most. You may find that the headphones sometimes tend to come off due to sweating but that is pretty rare and is definitely not a deal breaker.

However, since the size of the earbuds is small and that in some way suits my ear type, I find the fit completely perfect. Although if you wear them a bit loose for the sake of more noise isolation then they might fall off while running or any other vigorous exercises.

Durability

The headphones are durable and they come with a carrying case which you can use to store these headphones. Storage and proper maintenance of headphones can make a huge lot of difference in how long your Bluetooth headphones stay intact.

sprint2

These headphones are small and you need to maintain and take care of them. It is easy to damage these headphones so make sure that when not in use you keep them safely in the storage box else if thrown around in the gym bag then you might need to buy another one very soon.

I usually mess up with my headphones, since I do fall asleep with them in my ears and by the next morning they would be all messed up and the wires do get a bit loose. Such incidents may not spoil the headphones all at once but they will deteriorate their quality over time. Avoid such situations and try keeping them in a dust bag or the headphone case.

Battery life

The battery life on these headphones will last for about 4.5 hours. The headphones come with a charger in the box which can be used for charging these headphones.

The battery life could be better because of the good battery life in the Jaybird X2. Well, it is obvious that the JLAB Audio Epic 2 is way better in most of the features than this headphones even though they come from Jaybird. So, if you ask me who wins among the two headphones then it is definitely the JLAB Audio Epic 2.

The battery life is disappointing on these headphones and it seriously feels like Jaybird could have done a better job at increasing the quality of the battery life. With the amount of money you intend on spending for these headphones, the battery life is seriously going to be disappointing.

Conclusion

The Jaybird Freedom Sprint is a great sports Bluetooth headphones but it isn’t worth spending $99. There are plenty of other Bluetooth headphones which have the same exact price and way better features. The Jaybird headphones are pretty good when it comes to the Jaybird X2 but the sprint is just a waste of money.

In the same price, you could go for the JLAB Audio Epic2 which is one of the most amazing Bluetooth sports headphones that you could get for $99. It has an amazing battery life of about 12 hours and has a great audio quality as well. In the JLAB Audio Epic 2, you would not be compromising with any of the features.
