The Jaybird X4 headphones released recently and this review is going to be interesting as we are going to talk about all the features packed in these new earbuds and if they are any better than the predecessor.
If you have been waiting for the release of the Jaybird X4 headphones and do plan on buying them, then you should definitely read this review-
Design and Build Quality of the Headphones
The Jaybird headphones have always had an excellent build quality and they tend to maintain the quality with their new release, Jaybird X4 as well. The headphones look amazing and come with a slightly new design in comparison to the Jaybird X3.
The Jaybird X4 headphones have a softer ear hook in design which is made that way in order to give the users a better comfort and fit.
The ear hooks are indeed slightly better and they give that added comfort to anyone wearing them during their workout sessions.
The headphones have a wire adjuster which is a little different from the previous Jaybird headphones. The adjusted does the job so overall, it’s not a problem but it does make the wire bounce if you are running or jumping wearing thee headphones.
The inline remote and everything else is average and very similar to the ones that you would find on the Jaybird X3 headphones.
The Sound quality of any Jaybird headphones is amazing and the same holds true with the Jaybird X4 headphones. The sound quality is pretty clear and you can change the sound settings depending on your taste.
The foam ear tips that come with these headphones give you are really nice noise cancellation os in the case you have a pair of headphones that cancel all the outside noise then you should definitely go with the Jaybird X4.
The noise cancellation might be an issue if you plan on doing your workout outdoors where you need to be aware of your surrounding, especially during a run.
It can be a little difficult to reduce or cancel out the noise cancellation and all you can do is reduce the volume or remove one of the earbuds from your ears.
You can easily pick up calls on these earbuds and we had no problem in having a conversation on these headphones.
The earbuds are extremely comfortable and the soft ear clips that have been an addition to the Jaybird X4 gives you a much better comfort in comparison to the X3 headphones.
Not many had a problem with the ear tips of X3 but if you did then the X4 has a much better design giving you a better comfort.
The earbuds can use both silicone ear tips and comply foam ear tips where the comply foam ear tips provide a better fit than the silicone ear tips. The comply foam tip has a better fit and it gives you an excellent noise cancellation.
Once you find the perfect ear tip for yourself, you can easily perform intense workouts with these headphones and they are going to stay in your ears.
Honestly, the Jaybird earbuds are all pretty good for intense workouts so when it comes to Jaybird X4, I would surely recommend.
The headphones are pretty durable and they are slightly better than the X3. The Jaybird X4 has an IPX7 rating which means that you can submerge them inside water and nothing is going to happen to these headphones.
You can use these headphones for intense workouts and sweat as much as you like and they are going to be just fine. Overall the headphones are going to last long and I had no problems with the Jaybird X3 so, I think the Jaybird X4 headphones are going to be just fine.
The time they last really depends on how you plan on using these headphones, as long as you maintain them they can last really long without any major damages.
The battery life on these headphones is pretty amazing and they last for a good 8-9 hours. The battery life is pretty similar to the Jaybird X3 or maybe a little better but overall they could have done better on the battery life of these headphones.
The quick charge on these headphones gives you about an hour of charge within 10 minutes which is pretty amazing and it comes with a charging cable so that you can charge your headphones.
Overall, the battery life is average and there was no major improvement in this feature where honestly, they could have done a bit better to make the battery last longer. If the battery lasted for 10 hours or more then this new launch would have definitely made so much more sense.
The Jaybird X4 headphones are amazing and they have a really good design and build quality along with all the other features mentioned above.
The connectivity is pretty good as well which means you can leave your phone in one room and walk to the other without having to face any connectivity issues like you usually get to see in most of the sports Bluetooth headphones.
They may not have any major improvements from their predecessor which is the Jaybird X3, however, they are good if you are looking for a new sports Bluetooth headphones with an amazing fit and great sound quality.
You can look into the Jaybird X3 s as well since both these headphones do not have any major differences. Would I recommend these over the Jaybird X3? Not really.
There are not many differences between the Jaybird X3 and the Jaybird X4 headphones and with the price drop in the X3 headphones you might want to check them out as well!
