JBL Reflect Mini BT Review
The JBL Reflect Mini is one of the best Bluetooth headphones that you can find under the $100 range, however, when I think about the best headphone under $ 100 the first brand that comes to mind is the JBL Audio Epic 2. Is the latter better than JBL Reflect Mini BT? Let’s read the complete review to find out.
Design and Built Quality
se headphones are light in weight and come in different colors like black, blue, pink and teal. The headphones have an average design and if you would go for comparison between this and the JBL Audio Epic, then I would any day suggest you choose the latter.
The headphones have a very average built quality and I really feel that could have been improved. Although the design and the built quality aren’t as impressive as its competitor let’s look into the other factor and how well they are integrated with the headphones.
The overall average design of the headphones will make you look out at other options, however, if you are really not that interested in having the best design quality and want to focus more on the rest of the features then do continue reading the review till the end for the final verdict.
Sound Quality
The sound quality on these headphones are great with a deep bass response and the motivational groove makes you work harder in your workouts. The audio is clear and detailed and it does have a pretty impressive overall audio quality.
The inline remote that comes with these headphones can be used to control the volume and even skip a song or take calls. You can always tweak the sound with an app and this is possible here as well. However, the sound quality is great and very close to that of the JLAB Audio Epic 2.
The overall audio quality on these headphones is pretty amazing and if it is just about the sound quality that concerns you then this headphone is going to be one of the best sports Bluetooth headphones that you would ever use.
Comfort
The headphones come with different sizes of ear tips in order to ensure the perfect fit. These ear tips are really comfortable and you can adjust them according to your comfort level.
The inline remote is of the perfect size and you can easily increase or decrease the volume using the buttons on them. These headphones are pretty snug and the smaller size of the earbuds make it really comfortable to wear during intensive workout sessions.
The comfort level is relatively better in the JLAB Audio epic since you have a lot better options to adjust the ear tip making it a better option. The comfort level depends on the person as well, but since JLAB has way too many options for the ear tip sizes
Durability
These headphones are sweat and water resistant. However, I do not think that they are completely waterproof so if you are going swimming with these then I recommend you to do that at your own risk. Otherwise, you could use them in any weather conditions.
Since they are sweat proof they do not tend to fall off when you are sweating or in humid situations. These headphones do not come with a custom pouch so I recommend that you carry it in a dust bag in order to make it last longer without any damaging.
The headphones are pretty durable and they can last easily for a year, however, the life on Bluetooth headphones depend a lot on the maintenance so I would definitely suggest that you take minimum care of them so that they would last longer.
Battery
The battery life on these headphones lasts for around 7-8 hours. This is pretty good and an above average battery life. It comes with a micro USB charger which is included in the pack and you get an 8-hour battery life in one simple charge.
The connectivity on these headphones is pretty good. You need to sync it properly initially and then you would not face any issue in the middle of your intensive workout sessions. The clear winner between the JBL Reflect mini and the JLAB Audio Epic 2 is the JLAB headphones. The feature price balance is much better in the latter.
However, these headphones are not a complete NO, so if you like the JBL headphones for some reason which can be their design, sound quality or good connectivity then you could definitely go ahead with them but if you want to get the best out of your deal then there is no reason that I would not recommend the JLAB Audio Epic 2.
Conclusion
The JBL Reflect Mini is indeed a great Bluetooth headphone and it would definitely help you have a better workout experience, however, I would recommend you get the JLAB Audio Epic 2 instead since it is slightly better than the JBL Reflect Mini.
Although I find JLAB better, there is nothing wrong with the JBL Reflect Mini, just that you are getting a better deal with the other set of Bluetooth sports headphones and I think it would make more sense to spend on a pair of Bluetooth headphones which has a better battery life for the same price.
