JLAB Audio Epic Air True Review
JLAB Audio Epic Air True Wireless headphones are one of the completely wireless gym headphones that is custom made to make your gym sessions much more productive. In this review, you would be able to see how these headphones perform and if they are really worth the money.
Design and Build Quality
The JLAB Audio Epic Air comes with the ear clip design which is pretty much similar to the ones seen on Powerbeats 3. The headphones have a really comfortable design and they look sleek with the JLAB Logo on them.
The intuitive tap controls make the headphones really easy to use as you can seamlessly change the song being played on your headphones with a tap. This is a really cool feature on completely wireless headphones like the JLAB Audio Epic Air True.
The headphones are completely wireless like the Apple Airpods and you can connect these headphones to your phone with ease. You can choose which earbud you want to be your primary or secondary earbud which is a pretty impressive feature for such earbuds.
Sound Quality
The Sound quality on the JLAB Audio Epic True Air is pretty decent and if you want something that has some crisp audio then you might want to get this one.
The two earpieces can be controlled with your phone and you can decide which one gets to be the primary earpiece. There can be a lag between the audio played by the two earphones.
The headphones do not have any lag when it comes to playing music on your phone, but you might see some lag when it comes to watching youtube videos. This would become quite evident and you might want to be aware of it before you invest in teh headphones.
If you are only looking at these headphones for listening to music while working out then they are perfect and you might not face any issues, however, you should consider the lag if you want to use the headphones for other purposes.
Comfort
The wireless headphones come with a set of different ear tips and you can choose the one that fits your ears perfectly. The ear hook design is made for the earbuds to stay in place when you are in an intensive workout session.
The tap controls on the headphones work beautifully without any problems and that is something that we really liked as it was easy to control the volume and songs on these headphones.
The headphones are probably the most comfortable sports Bluetooth headphones that you could invest in and if you want something completely wireless then you can consider these wireless earbuds.
Apart from all the downsides you just cannot ignore the fact that these headphones are completely wireless and give you a perfect wire fee workout session.
Durability
The headphones are sweat proof and water resistant which means they are perfect for your workout sessions. You can use them in any weather condition and these headphones are going to last really long.
They are completely waterproof so you cannot go swimming with these but they can definitely stand some splashes of water without getting damaged.
These headphones are going to last long and since they come with a case, when you are not using them you can always put them in the charging case.
Battery Life
These headphones boast of an amazing 7-hour battery life and in the case, you finish that off you still have another 30 hours of battery life in the charging case which can be used to charge these headphones.
Honestly, these headphones can last for a week without charging and the only thing you might charge after a week is the charging case.
The charging case seems to be a little huge in comparison to the ones you get with the Jabra Elite sports or the Bose Soundsport Free.
However, these headphones do have a much better battery life than most of the completely wireless sports headphones from other companies.
Conclusion
The JLAB AUdio Epic True Air is a pretty good wireless headphone that has an amazing fit and design. The sound quality on these headphones may not be out of the box but the company has done a pretty good job anyway. If you are looking for some amazing wireless sports Bluetooth headphones then I would definitely recommend this one from JLAB.
Although there is still a lot of improvements that could be expected of these headphones, they have got the basics right and at the given price point they are probably going to save you a couple of bucks as well.
They have a really long battery life which is barely seen in any wireless sports headphones and if you compare it with its competitors that is the Jaybird RUN, Bose Soundsport FREE, and Jabra Elite Sport then these headphones have done a great job with their features being better.
Lastly, taking the price/feature balance into consideration, these wireless headphones from JLAB is a charm and you should definitely consider getting one for your workout sessions.
