The JLAB GO is one of the low-end Bluetooth headphones and even though it has a few setbacks, it can prove to be pretty useful if you plan on using it carefully by keeping in check with the circumstances. It is one of the best headphones which you can grab under $ 40. Let’s get into the detailed review:
Design and Built Quality
The headphones are available in a couple of funky colors like lime green, blue and black. The wire connecting the earbuds is flexible and comfortable to wear. You can easily adjust the band and wear the headphones. I personally have not liked these flexible bands because when you have long hair, they tend to get stuck and removal of these headphones becomes a painful process.
However, people with shorter hair or hair that is tightly tied up in a bun may not go through this problem. Apart from this minor setback, the headphone is a pretty good deal when its features are compared to the price.
Well, this headphone might get a pretty good competition from the Mpow series of Bluetooth headphones which again come in the under $50 Bluetooth headphones. Both of the headphones are equally mediocre so comparing them is indeed going to be a little difficult, LOL.
Sound Quality
The sound quality is quite good and it has a good enough bass. Looking at the price, the headphone does a pretty good job with the sound quality. Although it may not be the best but it is pretty good enough and if you are not an audiophile who wants every high and low to be perfect then this headphone is not a deal breaker.
You can balance the sound with an app and tweak it whenever necessary and you can take calls. The connectivity with this headset is pretty good and it supports Bluetooth 2.0 which enables you to easily stream music from various MP3 players and mobile devices.
The sound quality is pretty good for the price and it is clearly the same with the Mpow Bluetooth headphones as well where they have a pretty okayish audio quality but when compared to the price it can be one of the best deals. So when it comes to the audio quality and connectivity both the headphones do a pretty good job.
Comfort
The headphones come with seven ear tips in order to secure a perfect fit. The headphones are pretty comfortable although I do not prefer the wrap around style of headphones because of my hair getting tangled and even because it can be irritating after a while because I’m not used to it.
I would go for the Mpow headphones when it comes to comfort, however, that is my personal choice and you could have a completely different take here. Comfort really depends on the person but since the Mpow is smaller in size and does not mess up my hair, I would go with the Mpow Bluetooth headphones here.
The sweat tends to accumulate near the band if it is worn too tightly and in the case you loosen it, the headphones tend to come out. So just be sure that you would be okay with the wrap around adjustable band before purchasing the JLAB GO.
Durability
These headphones are pretty durable for the price that you are getting them. I think they are really worth the money because they can last long if they are maintained and taken care of. The headphones are sweat resistant although I doubt if you can wear them while swimming.
The headphones are not exactly water resistant, meaning you cannot go swimming but otherwise they can handle a bit of sweat and other humid situations. These are perfect for gym workouts. Carrying them in a dust bag or a box would help you maintain them and keep them in a good condition for longer time periods.
These headphones are pretty amazing when it comes to durability and in this feature, I think the JLAB GO is the winner. Many customers seem satisfied with the durability of these headphones and it is pretty amazing that they are affordable and last really long.
Battery life
These headphones lasted for around 7 hours which is above average battery life and pretty damn good for a headphone in this price range. If you are just getting started with your gym routine and aren’t sure if you would extensively use your headphones or not then this is the perfect option for you guys.
The headset comes with a micro USB cable and it is better to carry it in a dust bag or preferably a box because of the built you may want to be a little careful when it comes to maintaining these headphones. The JLAB GO is a pretty good deal for people starting with Bluetooth headphones.
In comparison with the Mpow Bluetooth headphones, the battery life is amazing on the JLAB GO because the Mpow Bluetooth headphones have a battery life that lasts just 5 hours. In comparison, the battery life in the JLAB GO is pretty awesome and if you are all about long lasting battery life then here you have a winner.
Conclusion
JLAB GO is definitely one of the best budget Bluetooth sports headphones and I sure did have a lot of fun comparing it with the Mpow Cheetah Bluetooth sports headphones. Well to sum it up, both the headphones are equally comfortable but I would say Mpow is relatively better. The audio quality is great for both the headphones.
The durability factor is better with the JLAB GO. The battery as well is amazing with the JLAB GO as well compared to the Mpow sports headphones. So it’s up to you to decide which one you would go for?
I personally recommend that you opt for JLAB GO but if they are not as comfortable as you expected them to be then you could always exchange them for Mpow SpoBluetoothooth headphones, well that is the beauty of amazon!
