Samsung U Flex Review

January 5, 2018 by admin

The Samsung U Flex has a pretty amazing design and the neckband is probably the most comfortable one among all the U band wireless headphones. In this review we would be outlining each and every feature of this headphone and if the headphone is really worth the investment or not.

If you were interested in getting these headphones then read the detailed review below-

Design and Build Quality

The headphones have the U band design which is pretty popular with the wireless sports Bluetooth headphones. The U band on these headphones is pretty flexible and the black color headphone is all black. It looks simple but at the same time does reflect the fact that it is made up of some really good quality material.

The headphone does look similar to the other models from Samsung that comes with the same U band design, however, the earbuds on these headphones are smaller and the U band is so flexible that you can fit the entire headphone in your pocket without worrying about bending it way too much.

Interestingly, it is one of the affordable Bluetooth headphones and if you are looking for something to start with that has the Samsung brand name attached to it, then the U Flex headphones might be the thing you are looking for, in teh case you have a higher range then you can check out the other similar models from Samsung.

Sound Quality

The Sound quality on these headphones is good, but not that great. If you are looking for something that would give you the sound quality that the Bose headphones have then you might want to look at some higher end options but the sound on an average is pretty good.

Overall, there is nothing special about the sound, it is simple. The headphone comes with a mic so you can take calls on them which is pretty much there with every other headphone out there and there was no problem when it came to teh connectivity with the headphones.

Considering the price of the headphone, you can say that the sound quality is okay and does justice to the price. You can even customize it using the dedicated app which is a plus always. The headphone can also connect to multiple devices so if you are someone who wants to experiment with this feature then you can definitely do that.

Comfort

The cord on these headphones that connect the band to the earbuds is pretty long. It does get a little annoying when the cord starts rubbing on your face or neck and if you sweat a lot it tends to stick to your face which is gross. Other than this everything else about this headphone is pretty okay.

I found the earbuds comfortable and they stay in your ears even when you are running or doing some strenuous exercise. Pretty much the comfort on these headphones is pretty good but I just wish that there was some way to just reduce the length of the cord.

Durability

The headphones are a little delicate, so you might want to be careful about using it. To be honest, the headphones are not that strong or you can say not exactly sports Bluetooth headphone material and hence you might want to be a little careful when it comes to splashing water over it as I’m pretty sure it is not completely waterproof.

The headphones are more like work headphones or something you can use while weight training and not a headphone that one could expect a proper athlete to be using. If you are just starting out with working out in the gym then go ahead with these headphones but if you are a marathon runner and want something extremely tough and durable then you might want to look into options like the Jaybird Run.

The headphone even has a neckband which means that you might get a little irritated if you went out running and for someone with long hair like me, it is definitely very annoying.

Battery Life

The battery life on this headphone is 8 hours which is pretty good as most of the Bluetooth headphones in the given price range have the same battery life. You can use these headphones even after your workouts and honestly, they are more suitable for work and listening music in your leisure time.

Tried using them as sports headphones and they were just..meh….so yes, if you want a headphone for your work that would help you take calls and at the same time listen music to relax then this might be one of the best choices from Samsung that we have in the market.

Conclusion

Samsung U FLex is a comfortable headphone when it comes to using it for work or listening to music. The headphone can work out pretty much as an all-rounder, something you can use in the gym and later on for your work as well.

However, if you are a serious athlete then you might want to consider other sports Bluetooth headphones that are out there since the U Flex is more of an all-rounder and not specifically designed for sports. In the case you want to check out a few options then the Plantronics Backbeat and the Jaybird X3 ‘s are something I would recommend.

Although if you are starting out and want a budget headphone that would work everywhere you can definitely check out the Samsung U flex headphones.
