Sony H.ear Headphones Review- MDR100ABN/L
The Sony H.ear Headphones Review is for people who would love to invest in an over-ear headphone for the gym. It is pretty obvious that you might not want to use these over-ear headphones for running or cycling(you can but it would be a little irritating due to its size).
However, if you are in the gym and just nee music while you lift weights or are into some simple exercises where there are no vigorous movements then you should definitely check out the Sony H.ear headphones. For more on the headphones, let’s get into the detailed review.
Design and Build Quality
The design of these headphones is pretty sleek and the fact that they come in different colors make them really attractive. The headphones feel very premium quality headphones and completely justify their higher price point. These headphones are in comparison with the Sennheiser headphones with a somewhat better design.
If you are using these headphones while lifting weights in the gym or a similar activity that does not require jumping or any other vigorous movements then this over-ear headphone might be perfect, however, it might be a little difficult to go on a run with them.
If you have ever gone for a run with these, let us know your experience in the comments section below, personally, I have never gone on a run with an over-ear headphone. Overall these headphones have a pretty good build quality and you can use them for your workouts or weight training.
The sound quality of these headphones is amazing. The sound is really soothing to the ears and is not crisp and loud like in other similar headphones. The sound quality is great and I have to admit that, if you compare it to the high-end over-ear headphones, then this one does stand out pretty well in comparison.
The headphones even come with a noise cancellation feature which is pretty good and this makes it more suitable for gym workouts as outdoor physical sports might not be quite possible. If you exercise in an environment where you need to hear noises from outside then you should go for something that would not be as noise canceling as this over-ear headphone.
The overall sound quality is amazing and for someone who likes a nice toned music without any crisp or harsh sound texture, this should be the headphone you are looking for. It is one of the best over ear headphones out there and perfect for gym workouts.
The headphones have a hanger shaped ear pads which are extremely comfortable and for someone with a small face like mine, I feel they were much more comfortable than most of the huge over-ear headphones that I have tried. So, yes these headphones are pretty comfortable with the adjustable band which you can use to adjust the headphone and according to your face shape.
The headphone also lets you take calls on the go and when it comes to the voices, I found the calls uninterrupted especially in the range where the Bluetooth connectivity was pretty good. The headphones won’t slip or move if you are not into any vigorous activity.
The headphones are not waterproof hence don’t try to swim with these, they are sweatproof and you can use it for lighter activities. The headphones are designed for people who intend to listen to music with detailing and use it for work or casual use.
This is not a specific sports Bluetooth headphones and hence you might not get all teh features that you can usually expect from a sports Bluetooth headphones and one of them is being waterproof. If you are specifically looking for something that is for running or for intense workouts then you might want to consider the Bose Sports Bluetooth headphones or the Jaybird X3 sports Bluetooth headphones.
The battery life on these headphones can easily last from 20-24 hours which is very impressive. These headphones are really great when it comes to having an on spot battery life and hence you can use them for more than just your workouts.
I would rate these headphones as an all-rounder and not a sports Bluetooth headphone since you can use these headphones for work and other activities as well. The headphones have a pretty impressive battery life and you can even wire them once the battery is over so basically they will last you really long without any battery problems.
As said in a few sections, the Sony H.ear headphones are not exactly a sports Bluetooth headphones but you can use them for gym workouts or weight training. The headphones have an amazing design and built quality that just cannot be ignored along with the amazing comfort.
The headphone is an all-rounder and is perfect if you are looking for a headphone that is going to go with you everywhere. If the battery goes off completely, you can even wire these headphones and use them as a wired headphone.
For the price point, the headphones are totally worth it and if you are looking for something that you give you complete value for money then you should definitely invest in these headphones.
