Sony SBH70BK Headphones Review
The Sony headphones are pretty famous for their sound quality and on this site, you would have a review on almost all the Sony wireless headphones. The Sony SBH70BK is one of these wireless headphones and it is relatively on the affordable side but is it really for working out and sports sessions, read the review in order to get to know everything about these headphones.
Design and Build Quality
The headphones come with a neckband design which is flexible and comfortable to wear as it comes coated with a rubber-like material which makes it really comfortable to wear around the neck. The headphones have light earbuds which fit in your easily and are very comfortable to wear during workouts.
The headphones are amazing when it comes to quality and come in various different colors that you can choose from. Overall the neckband and the earbuds together are really light in weight and are very comfortable to carry around during workouts.
Now the real meat of information on this headphones is in the sound quality. The sound quality is average and the music is not going to go way too loud but is just going to be okayish. The headphones do not have noise isolation so if you want something that would cancel the noise from your surroundings then you have to look out for other headphones.
The headphones come with a mic which lets you pick up calls but again the mic quality on these headphones are not as good as you might expect. Most of the users have complained that the person on the other end cannot hear your voice clearly which is a bummer.
Sound quality is something which everyone expects from Sony but when you do not get that, it is just a disappointment. If you are looking for headphones for running, cycling or driving where you need the listen to noise from the surroundings then you can go with these headphones.
The headphones are really comfortable to wear and even though they have the neckband design, the band is thin and flexible which makes it really easy to wear these headphones while running or exercising. The headphones are light in weight as well which makes them stay while working out.
The neckband in a few headphones are thick in a way that they cause irritation when worn around the neck but on these headphones, the neckband is quite slim and flexible making it easier for wearing it for longer periods of time. The headphones are perfect for outdoor sports activities and have pretty good NFC connectivity as well.
The headphones are splash proof which makes them suitable for use even in humid weather conditions. The headphones have an IPX 5 rating which means that a little splash of water will not ruin them but at the same time, you cannot submerge them in water 3 ft deep.
So, technically they are waterproof but they cannot be used for swimming but they can survive with a bit of water splashing on them. The headphones are amazing and are going to be the best option for someone who sweats a lot, with minimum maintenance these headphones can go a really long way.
The battery life on these headphones is about 7-8 hours which is pretty good. Honestly, I would recommend these headphones for someone who is starting to workout and wants to have a simple Bluetooth Sony headphones. The battery will last for a workout and a few hours after the workout as well.
The battery life could have been better but with most of the features being just mediocre, I did not expect anything great from the battery life on these headphones.
These headphones are average quality and there is nothing way too interesting about it. If you are a beginner and just want an average headphone that would last for a couple of hours in your workout sessions then this is a pretty good choice that you can look out for.
The headphones can be your option or if you are okay with going in for other brands like Phaiser or Senso Bluetooth headphones that are of better quality at a lower price point then you should definitely think about getting them.
